Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Make a Great Expectations Prequel? Learn More About Their Upcoming Netflix Projects
As if the Netflix docuseries and the tell-all publication Spare was not enough, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now turned their minds towards movie adaptations of all-time classics. Following Markle’s dramatic split from the Swedish giant Spotify, there had been much scrutiny on their projects, both forthcoming and those canceled ages ago. Interestingly, their upcoming endeavor not only consists of the much-talked-about Heart of Invictus by Prince Harry but also a Charles Dickens novel adaptation or so reported by certain outlets.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly have their plans fixated on a TV show called Bad Manners. The series, if it were to happen, would be based on characters from the timeless classic, Great Expectations. As per the report, “the prequel would recast the lonely spinster as a strong woman living in a patriarchal society.” By this, Dickens’ lover could surely connect at once to Miss Havisham, who played a vital role in the thriller.

However, none of these are confirmed reports, as the American steamer is yet to greenlight the show. Likewise, there was also a children’s show called Pearl which saw no daylight. The series was supposed to be led by the Duchess. Netflix reportedly canceled it long before it could even hit the screens. The couple struck a deal with the giant way back in 2020 during the onset of the infamous Megxit. All of these are thus some of their primary endeavors to manifest them being self-independent without having to use funds from The Crown.
But what are the latest updates around their multi-million projects?
