Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shook the royal reins when they announced back in 2020 of forgoing their royal duties and becoming “financially independent”. The royal couple has since then had not much of a head start. Though, to their credit, they did catch the attention of big streamers, who came down swooning on them like bees to nectar. However, many of their deals have failed to live up to the expectations. Regardless, the couple marched ahead.

Ahead enough to land back in Europe – Germany, to be precise. And it looks like they may have unintentionally cooked up their recipe for success.

Not long after, Prince Harry came to Dusseldorf, Germany, after a media-scrutinized visit to London, followed by his wife, Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shimmered in glory and a warm welcome by the Invictus Games crowd. The Duke, who has been a patron of the games for wounded service personnel, since 2014, was greeted by loud cheers. However, one thing that the duo has so far put up at the Games is their love for each other.

They were seen sharing an embrace and nestled close to each other like a Cupid’s pair. And it is precisely this show of love that has translated into a show of strength, according to an expert. In talks with The News, PR expert Andy Barr deftly pointed it out. The couple’s exuberant display of an effective “team” has settled well within the audience. Moreover, their speeches, mannerisms, and passion for the game have all gone on to paste a positive image of them into people’s hearts.

While media and royal experts may lambast them, it seems the general audience is rallying behind them. As such, this improved PR can help lift up their miffed media deals. Additionally, it can also bring them all new ones that will not only boost their public outlook but turn them into “box office hits.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are probably headed to only where success resides. As the couple doused the recent hoopla surrounding a rumored divorce with their Invictus appearance, brands may look back at them again. In the infancy of their move to the US, the couple signed multi-million dollar deals with Spotify and Netflix. However, the roughly $20 million Spotify podcast deal fell through when it could not grab the necessary traction.

Their $100 million Netflix deal, however, may have found a breath of fresh air all over again. The collaboration between the streaming giant and the couple’s Archewell Productions scored with its latest Heart of Invictus. The show landed to good critical and audience reception, which kept the deal afloat. Moreover, now as all focus lies on the actual Invictus Games, Netflix may hope to cash in even more.
