However, things did not take much time to go downhill to the present times, where the Sussexes find themselves at the hallmark of criticism no matter what the move. While one would assume that Markle and Prince Harry would proceed with caution in such cases, they are actually going no holds barred. 

Amidst the rising criticism surrounding their plan of action regarding the LA fires, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are throwing some shots of their own. And their contender is no pseudo royal couple teetering between the US and the UK but the tech giant, Meta.

While all of Tinseltown and subsequently Los Angeles is busy dealing with the loss concurred due to the wildfire, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stood guard and planted an on-time attack on meta owing to a change in its policies, which the Sussexes describe on their official website as "putting everyone in harms way."

It is quite fitting that Markle and her husband would be among the first to point out the dramatic breach of free speech by Meta, having been at the receiving end of silence and side eyes during their tenure as working British royals. The couple is advocating for Meta to prioritize public safety and curb the growing hate speech on its platforms.

It is unclear if the actress levied the allegations owing to evidence that she had witnessed or simply as an opinion, but regardless, the Sussexes have found themselves on grounds now almost home to them: criticism. Whether they will address this allegation with the same fervor, they called out Meta remains to be seen.
