Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries, Harry & Meghan, sent shockwaves across the world with its bombshell revelations. While it might have made the royal teacups rattle, Netflix won the streaming battle with flying colors. The docuseries garnered 81.55 million viewing hours globally in its first week of release, ranking in the top ten list in 85 countries. However, despite the massive viewership, the show came up empty-handed in the awards department. 

Recently, the ongoing buzz around David Beckham’s Netflix documentary, Beckham, stole the spotlight from the Sussexes’ docuseries. Shortly after the upstage, the Sussexes won a prestigious nomination for their contentious documentary. 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the running for a 2024 award 

It has been almost a year since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released the two volumes of Harry & Meghan. The royal family, already at odds with the couple and their Netflix arrangement, saw their relationship with the Sussexes further deteriorate after the show. Amid the ongoing tension between them, Harry & Meghan received a nomination for the 2024 Realscreen Awards along with two other Netflix shows, I Am Vanessa Guillen, and Take Care of Maya.

This took place just days after the show faced a lot of comparisons with David Beckham’s buzzing docuseries, Beckham. Recently, David Beckham’s documentary leaped to the top of the charts, surpassing the Sussexes, as per Google Trends data. This made people question Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s future relevance in Hollywood. Especially when they were already about to face stiff competition from two of their family members.  

As per reports, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been preparing to establish their dominance in Hollywood.

Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship went through a rollercoaster in the past few years. Both siblings found themselves out of alignment, resulting in growing tensions. Even Kate Middleton, who was once close to Prince Harry, expressed through a source that she will in no way make any efforts toward reconciliation following the bombshell revelations by the Sussexes. Amid the tension, a close source revealed the Wales couple is spreading its influence in Tinsel Town by collaborating with A-listers from the industry. 

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been visiting the States for their new project about the global climate. In this project, the Prince and Princess formed a collaboration with major players in the industry, including Taylor Swift. As per the source’s interview with Closer Magazine, this was an attempt by the couple to prove to the Sussexes that Hollywood is still obsessed with them.
