Prince Harry and Elton John’s Legal Battle With Publication to Unfold Soon as Lawsuit Advances to Trial
When Prince Harry exited his Windsor clan, he cited privacy violations as a significant factor in his decision to do so. Although reluctantly, the Duke of Sussex had to step back from his royal duties and the people he called family for the sake of his, Meghan Markle, and their children’s mental health. Yet, he did not put the blame solely on his family. According to him, certain publications were equally responsible for intruding into their personal lives. So he joined forces with Elton John and five others to sue them.
Now, there has been a development in the case.
Prince Harry finally gets his day in court

In March this year, the prince, Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and other complainants joined forces to sue Associated Newspaper Ltd. As the company behind the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday tabloids, the group alleged wrongdoing in the way that these publications had gathered personal information regarding them. Notably, last week the judge presiding on their case gave it the green light to proceed to court!
According to reports, the celebrities have claimed that ANL used illegal methods like listening devices and private detectives to observe their lives. The collected information was allegedly used by the media outlets for financial gain. Thus, allowing the complainants to sue the organization for damages. Since the renowned personalities have joined efforts in bringing their case forward, the case is expected to receive significant media attention.
Particularly due to John and the Duke’s combined star power and the bond they share.
Elton John’s long-standing friendship with the Sussexes
Prince Harry and Sir Elton John have openly shared their mutual fondness for each other through public declarations. However, the affinity between them has extended since long before. John was close to the prince’s mother Princess Diana with whom he had worked together for the AIDS Foundation. Then, he became an integral part of the young prince’s life growing up. When he retired, the prince and Meghan Markle made a touching statement for the music mogul.

However, their bond was interrupted by a rift caused by the very publication that they have now united to sue. Apparently, certain things that the media houses reported had caused tensions between the two. Despite that, John and his husband: David Furnish are back to being chummy with the Sussexes. Especially with the joint cause of privacy that they are now both backing through the lawsuit.
