Prince Harry Accuses Tabloid Mogul Piers Morgan of “Injecting” Information to His Stories, Morgan Replies
The battle between the British tabloids and Britain’s Prince, the Duke of Sussex, is at an all-time high. Prince Harry broke the bars as soon as he became the only royal ever to step inside the court premises in over a hundred years. Having gone off the traditional, “never complain, never explain” slogan, the rogue Prince is currently holding accountable the newspapers that once threw dirt on his family, both the immediate and the estranged. And the one personality that was bound to get in the grip of the legal battle is the tabloid giant, Piers Morgan.
More than anything, Piers Morgan has made himself famous by emerging as one of their most prolific royal correspondents. Over the years, he has publicly lambasted the couple for their continuous anti-royal advances. It was a common belief that the media personality turned against the self-exiled couple after the infamous Megxit. However, unearthed history has it that he had quite a significant hand in denigrating the Prince long before he met Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry has gotten back to the very same claims made by the former Mirror contributor. In the heated back-and-forth between the Duke has thus accused Morgan of barging into his private life with the sole motive of selling dirt and benefiting from his downgrade. Jane Kerr, who has testified against the publication in the Duke’s hacking case, has affirmed Morgan would add snippets of information into stories she had authored.
Kerr further added he was in contact with “someone at the palace”. In her written witness statement, Kerr said, Morgan “engaged with the Palace press offices and would occasionally direct or inject information into a story.” The journalist used to take a “legit interest” in pieces revolving around the Duke, she added. Nonetheless, the accused, as well as the publication, have continuously declared the allegations untrue.
Piers Morgan debunks claims by Prince Harry
As reported by BBC, the tabloid mogul has repeatedly stuck to his denial of involvement in any of these. He has consistently turned down any “illegal newsgathering happening on his watch.“. Prior to the trial, he has also made clear that he has never hacked a phone, let alone Prince Harry’s. Speaking to the BBC, he said, “I’ve never hacked a phone. I’ve never told anybody to hack a phone.“

Prior to this, the Prince had claimed that Piers Morgan and his commentary on his life made him sick. The Duke had alleged that the journalist had had direct involvement in Princess Diana’s car tragedy. However, Morgan counter-attacked with his own satirical swipe, asking, “Are recollections varying again?”
