‘Red White and Royal Blue’ Buzz: British Royal Family Is as Good as the “Kardashians of Popular Culture” for America, Claims Expert
The United States has long harbored an uncouth detest over the British monarchy, an institution it fought a bloody war to separate itself from. Skirmishing continually since the times of colonialism, the silent tensions run deep under the televised political ties showcased over leaders shaking hands worldwide. The same became evident when the Irish-origin US President snubbed the royal family skipping King’s Coronation. Nonetheless, the US media says otherwise.
Keeping on par with the UK British tabloids, the American press and media accurately gauge how the royal family and their glamor have fairly become peak entertainment across the Atlantic. While British Monarchy coverage for America made perfect economical sense, the American streamer and its obsession with royalty grew proportionately.

The fictional dramatization in The Crown has already garnered an influx of audiences overseas, especially the royal enthusiasts who were starved of such alluring content. The controversial Netflix show aptly depicted the American streamers’ obsession with UK royalty. A competent adaptation of a much-loved book, Red White and Royal Blue, gets much right, or so say the fans.
Portrayed by a younger set of a fictional British royal family, a queer Prince falls in love with a US President’s son. Together, they fight through the stereotypical struggles to be together. It all, however, fell on the current tabloid fixations of the present, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the degradation of the royal family
In an era of TV reality shows, the royal family and their fairly scandalous affairs, brawls, and rebellions have overtaken our Instagram feeds and newsletters. Princess Diana took royal fame to its zenith, but King Charles overtook the monarchy, absolutely bonkers. Meanwhile, Prince Harry‘s therapy-gone-wrong royal exit along with his already US famous star, actress wife Meghan Markle came as sweet summer rain to the A-list drought of celebrity buzz for the press of the West.

Adding to it were the ghastly revelations of The Institution from Spare that were not meant to go out. However, they eventually did.
The expert, thus, believes it has all been partly because of the infamous Megxit and its aftermath. Since then, the general apathy amongst the youngsters of Tinseltown, as the royal expert points out, has fairly added to the feeding frenzy. “In America…there is a greater frivolity in the way the monarchy is perceived,” added Johnson before concluding.
