Brown has been traveling across the world and engaging in many social media tricks to promote her book. During an interview with Lorraine Kelly, the young entrepreneur spilled the beans on what her novel is about and the vibe it will set for the readers. The actress also said that Nineteen Steps has a cinematic feel to it and took its inspiration from Brown’s grandmother’s stories.
The actress went on record to express her love of talking to elderly people and learning about the history they hold. She spent a lot of time talking and listening to her grandmother’s stories, which became the source of her authorial debut. Brown combines all the tales she heard from her nan, revolving around her grandmother’s experience of the 1943 Bethnal Green tube disaster. Ghostwritten by author Kathleen McGurl, the women-centric novel has a deep connection with Brown and her source of motivation.
