Ever since Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018, Piers Morgan has been calling out every step the Duchess has taken. From accusing her of scripting her wedding to ignoring her admission of being depressed, the journalist has always believed her actions had ulterior motives. However, the 42-year-old has continued to pay no attention to his claims, no matter how big the accusation was.

Shortly after the mother of two announced the launch of a new lifestyle brand, Morgan called out the former actress’ launch to mean more than it was meant to.

Piers Morgan shuns Meghan Markle’s new project

In 2022, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle teamed up with Netflix for Harry & Meghan, they ended up becoming target practice for Piers Morgan. Most of their decisions and projects have gotten a rise out of the journalist. However, it was taken to a new level when the Duchess launched her new business, American Riviera Orchard. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the 58-year-old called out the former star for launching on the same day as The Diana Award.

He stated that Markle promoting her business while “Princess Diana’s memory was being honored just about sums her up.” Morgan also added that “it stinks.” The accusation came shortly after it was revealed that Prince Harry had made a virtual appearance at The Diana Awards to congratulate the winners, without his wife. However, it was never their tradition to attend the ceremony, anyway.

That responsibility belonged to the Duke of Sussex’s older brother, Prince William, and his beloved wife, Kate Middleton. But, unfortunately, even the 41-year-old had to fly solo.

Prince William mentions Kate Middleton at The Diana Award

Since Christmas 2023, Kate Middleton has stayed out of the public spotlight as she has been recovering from planned abdominal surgery. With the mother of three following a recovery period, she has had to step back from her royal responsibilities. Prince William, on the other hand, has managed to keep up appearances. Most recently, he attended The Diana Award to present the winners with the award. During his speech, the 41-year-old mentioned how Princess Diana’s wisdom was the focus of his and his wife’s work.

Although Prince William might be juggling many hats, he too wanted to take a step back a while ago. It was to take care of Middleton after her operation. However, with King Charles being diagnosed with cancer, Prince William has stepped up. Apart from his duties, he has also been carrying out his father’s role, along with Queen Camilla.
