Blake Lively, much like her husband, Ryan Reynolds, is a merciless prankster. She was like that long before meeting the Deadpool star, back when she was the iconic Serena van der Woodsen. To prove just how hilariously devilish the Gossip Girl alum can be when she is in the mood for pranks, her co-star from the teen drama, Penn Badgley, has narrated an incident that had once left him questioning his entire life.

Penn Badgley recently sat down for the May 22 episode of his Podcrushed podcast. During the podcast, the You actor revealed that Blake Lively once pranked him into believing that Steven Tyler was his dad. It all began with a fake email set as bait to lure Badgley into the prank. With the assistance of the 37-year-old's publicist and his mother, Lively concocted a convincing plot, leading Badgley to believe he was Tyler's illegitimate child.
When April Fool’s Day came around, the Margin Call star finally decided to confront his mother on the advice of The Shallows actress. His mother, already in on the prank, told her son, “Why do you think we moved out of Maryland?”. Just as the actor was about to blow a fuse from the shock, he caught Lively’s smirk and realized it was all just an April Fools' prank. However, Lively was not just about the "crazy" pranks during their Gossip Girl days.
The 36-year-old actress also acted as Badgley's guardian angel and saved him from going down a destructive path.

Gossip Girl was the show that took Penn Badgley from zero to a hundred in the blink of an eye. The actor has been on record sharing his struggles of coping with sudden fame. While Badgley and Blake Lively have always tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, The Stepfather actor once acknowledged Lively for steering him away from the evil of substance abuse, a trap many young actors stumble into.
In an interview with Variety last year, the John Tucker Must Die actor shared, “I think our relationship in some ways saved me from forcing myself to go down that road”. Even though they have gone their separate ways for years now, it is heartwarming to see that the Gossip Girl star has nothing but positive vibes to share about Blake Lively.
