Paul Rudd has raised $100,000 for charity by auctioning off two tickets to the world premiere of Avengers: Doomsday. At the charity auction, Rudd personally invited the winning bidder to join him at the world premiere of Avengers: Doomsday in Los Angeles. The winning bidder will also have a chance to attend the after-party and meet all the celebrities.
“I did this little independent film. Its title: Avengers: Doomsday. It’s going to come out just before Christmas, and I don’t know, I think it would be really cool if two people came with me to Los Angeles, right before the holiday season really kicks in, to go to the premiere with me,” Rudd said.
“This will include the after-party, too. I will introduce you to every single person I see. We will try to take selfies as much as possible. Some of them I know. Some of them will speak to me. "So we can even wrangle a pre-Christmas card maybe," he added.
He later said that the successful bid was $100K and the money would go to the Children's Nursing Hospital. The auction was held during Big Slick Kansas City, an annual celebrity fundraiser hosted by hometown Kansas City natives. The event included celebrities like Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Rob Riggle, Eric Stonestreet, and Heidi Gardner.
It was the 17th edition of the event. It returned to T-Mobile Center with comedy, music, celebrity appearances, and live auction packages, aimed at raising money for Children’s Mercy Kansas City. One of the biggest highlights of this year’s fundraising was the Rudd’s Avengers: Doomsday premiere package.
Beyond the charity moment, Rudd’s involvement has also kept attention on Ant-Man’s place in Marvel’s next big-screen chapter.
