The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave up on their individual families to seek a life abroad. However, their past has not spared them the indignation yet. With the ongoing rivalry with the Duke’s royal family, the Duchess has got her own lot to settle. Interviews and revelations have become quite synonymous with the royals and the Markles. Netflix’s Harry & Meghan shook the world with the bombshell revelations. While the Royal Family stayed tight-lipped, Meghan Markle’s family had a counter-interview to wash their names off the dirt. 

The Duchess’ estranged family appeared on the Australian Special Spotlight, with Thomas Markle and Samantha Markle leading the show. Nonetheless, her half-sister showed no signs of reconciliation or as proved by her statements. The 58-year-old claimed that Markle has a toxic marital life while the half-brother made clear that the Markles are not going anywhere. However, the father did sound a bit overwhelmed, disheartened, and outraged about losing his daughter. 

Enlisting the controversies that parted him away from his daughter, a disappointed Thomas Markle questioned “Was it all worth it?” as he got overwhelmed recalling their past relationship, he affirmed that back in the day, he was Markle’s hero. And thus, she should be asking herself the reason behind doing all of it to her father. “Is it worth denying me, my grandchildren? Is it worth getting rid of her father?” reiterated Thomas Markle in the heated interview.

Further adding to his estrangement from the Duchess, he expressed his feelings toward Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to him and rightfully so, the Sussex kids make a part of his family. “They’re gonna have my nose, they’re gonna have my eyes,” went on the 78-year-old. 

The Channel 7 spotlight, at last, made it clear that if not everyone, Meghan Markle’s father wants to make things right between them. In fact, he is willing to do anything to make things right for his broken family. He asked for Markle’s forgiveness as his deathbed wishes in the stirring interview. However, swinging between his anger and self-pity, he refused to be buried by her upon his death.
