"Out of my orbit"- Fans Have a Good Laugh at Harrison Ford’s Reaction to the Nerdiest MCU Questions
The 2024 San Diego Comic-Con has been a treasure of surprises for every Marvel buff. The event revealed major details of what the upcoming MCU movies, including the two Avengers installments and Captain America: Brave New World, have to offer. One of the actors debuting in the cinematic universe is Harrison Ford, who will play Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross and his alias, Red Hulk, in Captain America: Brave New World. However, it looks like the 82-year-old still has some catching up to do with Marvel.
Harrison Ford stopped for an interview with Screen Rant following the Marvel Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The reporter asked the Indiana Jones star about who he thinks would be the anchor of Universe 616. Ford clearly did not have an answer and was surprised to learn he was part of Universe 616. “616? I am in universe 616? Yeah, I'm out of my orbit,” said the actor in response. And that was not the only geeky Marvel question that came Ford's way at the event.

At Comic-Con, Entertainment Weekly's Gerrad Hall asked Ford who handles snakes better, Indy or Thaddeus Ross, a question that he gets asked all the time. To which the Star Wars actor straight-up said, "I will not answer that stupid question”. He also confessed he did not have a clue who Red Hulk was, though it seemed sarcastic, saying, “That's how dumb I am.” Nonetheless, the internet is having a field day with Ford’s trademark grumpy interviews.
Fans have flooded X with hilarious reactions to Harrison Ford’s evident gap in MCU knowledge.
Fans poke fun at Harrison Ford for struggling with MCU questions
From Galactus' debut in the MCU to Robert Downey Jr, returning as Doctor Doom, the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con certainly delivered some bombastic reveals, in typical Kevin Feige fashion, regarding the universe's upcoming slate of films. Now, Harrison Ford has been confirmed to take the legacy of the late veteran, William Hurt, forward. And fans seem to have already given this casting a green light, especially after Ford cracked up the entire panel with his grandpa-like responses to questions.
Some fans were even flummoxed by the Screen Rant reporter’s assumption that Ford would know the answer to the "Universe 616" question.
