Your Oscars 2025 Guide: Every Party, Gala, and Event to Follow During the Big Hollywood Week

With award seasons in overdrive, Hollywood’s elite has barely had a moment to breathe, let alone savor their red carpet triumphs as their stylists fuel on caffeine and comb through fashion archives to keep the glamor game at full throttle. But as the race hurtles toward its grand finale, the 97th annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, stars are swapping beauty sleep for espresso shots simultaneously to navigate a whirlwind of soirées, galas, and exclusive fêtes. 

For cinephiles priming themselves for the Oscars with a marathon of silver-screen masterpieces, here is your VIP pass to every must-watch event as Hollywood’s biggest week hits its crescendo.

Where is the party at before the 2025 Oscars? (February 21-23)

After the ravaging inferno in LA, several agencies have exited the party circuit, but the ones still in the pipeline officially kicked off on February 21 at the Academy Museum with the Oscar Nominee Spotlight: Breaking the Ceiling—Casting Directors, followed by Oscar Nominee Spotlight: Animated Short Film and Feature Film on February 22.

Viewers, however, have more than one highlight this Saturday as the Film Independent Spirit Awards are set to kick-start at Santa Monica Beach, with the 56th NAACP Image Awards to take place at Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Simultaneously, USC Libraries’ 37th annual Scripter Awards is scheduled at Town and Gown Ballroom, University of California, as well as the 61st Cinema Audio Society Awards at Beverly Hilton.

The Oscar Nominee Spotlight will continue on February 23 with Documentary Short Film and Feature Film alongside the 72nd Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards and SAG Awards. On Monday, screenings for Live-Action Short Film will be held followed by the Time Women of the Year Gala, and before the Oscar Nominees Dinner on Tuesday.

That said, this is only the tip of the party iceberg leading to the Academy Awards.

Pre-Oscar warm-ups (February 24-27)

On Wednesday, The Impact Lounge’s Lumen Awards will take place at Hotel Casa del Mar, Diane Von Furstenberg’s Luncheon will be hosted at a private residence in Beverly Hills, Universal Pictures Filmed Entertainment will happen at the Steak 48 while the Bar Marmont toasts The 2025 Vanities Party.

The South Asian Oscar Party will be at Carondelet House, Levi’s x A Complete Unknown Celebration at Levi’s Haus of Strauss, DVF Oscar Luncheon at a private residence in Beverly Hills followed by Oscar Nominee Spotlight: Cinematography. Moving on, February 27 will begin with the Oscar Wilde Awards at Wilshire Ebell Theatre, followed by the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards at Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel and the Kodak Film Awards at Kodak House.

While that seals the Hollywood extravaganza till Thursday, the next few days will be more packed than ever.

To be or not to be wherever the Academy is: A pre-Oscars guide (February 28-March 1)

On February 28, DPA Pre-Awards Luxury Style Retreat will take place at Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel and the gala will continue at the GBC, MEND & Bodywell’s Pre-Academy Awards Luxury Lounge in Beverly Hills. His Majesty’s Consul General’s Afternoon Tea in Honour of UK Nominees, WIF Oscar Nominees Celebration, Vanity Fair X Saint Laurent Party, and Oscar Nominee Spotlight: International Film Feature will all be happening on the same day.

As the weekend officially rings in the drumrolls to the Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, Oscar Nominee: Makeup and Hairstyling is set to commence the day for the pre-Oscar jitters. Verve Animation Brunch will be held at Dama, Society of Composers & Lyricists at 1 Hotel West Hollywood, Armani’s pre-Oscar celebration at the Georgio Armani 90210 boutique, and Charles Finch and Chanel at Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge will also take place on March 1.

The Oscars Day (March 2)

On March 2nd, every cinematic prayer will be finally answered or at least, one can hope so, at the Dolby Theatre. It will be televised live on ABC as Hollywood heavyweights try to etch their names on that golden statuette. The official post-Oscars celebration will kickstart at Ovation Hollywood at the annual Academy Awards Governors Ball followed by The Oscars Viewing Parties Presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Oscar-winning party will return to Neon at Sunset Tower to celebrate the night of triumphs. Moreover, the 33rd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair party will unfold at the West Hollywood Park and Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, respectively.

Queen Bey and Jay Z’s invite-only The Gold Party will be held at an undisclosed location in the City of Angeles followed by Madonna and Guy Oseary’s one at Beverly Hills. Lastly, the A-lister party run ends with the Alta Global Media Oscars Viewing Party and Jonathan Baker’s Viewing Party, concluding the award season anticipation with party poppers with something old and something new.
