Movies come and go. Some remain etched in our memories for ages, while some get past our brains overnight. But to respawn in a time that marks the most important history of the human species coupled with a sprawling starry cast and a director at the height of his abilities, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The most-anticipated movie of the year, Oppenheimer, is here to let us experience the same. It is here to change the face of Hollywood movies forever.

Given all the previous warnings of the hyper-realistic seat-rattling explosion and steamy intimate scenes, there is no question that the movie is going to go beyond human imagination. But the characters who have played their roles are only human and so are the actors who portrayed it.

The people at Manhattan for Oppenheimer were, in fact, the cast of Ben Hur

The Oppenheimer team had been feeding the frenzy with just a devastated still of Robert Oppenheimer, looking right through our souls with his sapphire eyes every week. However, in the ultimate moments before release, the exclusive interviews and premieres have pushed the countdown button just right. The actors are seemingly keeping all the intensities and mind-bending existential stakes for the 21st of July, since their interviews have been just as hilarious.

The fearless cast of the movie boasts 79 speaking roles in the three-hour-long IMAX classic. Robert Downey Jr, who plays the role of the US Atomic Energy Commission Chair, revealed that the cast of actors for the Manhattan Project itself got out of hand. To have them all coordinated to make possible the impossible, the actors playing the group of scientists had their own WhatsApp group called ‘Oppenhomies’. “It was the cast of Ben-Hur,said Downey to Hollywood Reporter.

There are always short roles and huge roles, there is never a small actor, believes Christopher Nolan. One of the 5 horsemen of the thriller, Matt Damon, confessed the same in an interview. And the director has seemingly run true to his words, says Robert Downey Jr. The MCU star further revealed that amongst those 79 roles, “everyone would have their moments.” “There were no small scenes,” he further added.

The movie undoubtedly provided a rollercoaster of emotions cinematically to the Hollywood A-listers. However, more than that, it is cinema at its best challenging the actors with the vigor of the history and expectations of the future. To answer them all, through an experience felt never before, Oppenheimer will hit the theaters before you know it, on the 21st of July, 2023.
