One of the Three Secret ‘The Flash’ Ending With Henry Cavill as Superman Revealed
Not long ago, we saw The Flash, one of the most anticipated superhero films make its way to our screens. Apart from being years in the making, the Ezra Miller starer event laid the framework for a new era at DC. Furthermore, the film was incredibly important for the DC franchise, after a chaotic year in 2022. Not only did the film introduce a brand-new time-traveling theory, but it also reignited the hopes in the hearts of DC fans. However, a recent rumor about the film’s ending will surely surprise you.
As we all know, Henry Cavill‘s departure from the DC universe was one of the shocking events for fans. Even after all these months, the fans have still been demanding to bring back the British actor as Superman. However, it might surprise you to know, but Henry Cavill was bound to reprise his role as Superman in the alternate ending of The Flash. The studio cut the actor’s return as Superman in the final scene of the film. As per reports by The Hollywood Reporter, three different endings for the movie were filmed.

The rumors about the Enola Holmes star appearing in the cameo were previously making the rounds over the past few weeks. Despite countless news of the actor’s return, the scene where Cavill reprised his role as Superman never happened. George Clooney reprising his role as Batman from the 1997 film Batman and Robin beat out other versions in the end.
As we all know, the ending of the film saw Barry Allen finally being successful in bringing his father out of prison. Soon after, Clooney’s version of Batman greets Miller on the courthouse steps. Interestingly, the locale was to remain the same with every single actor who would have reprised their roles. The third alternate ending would have marked Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman.
Despite not having a debut from Cavill as fans wanted, the movie has lived much to the expectations of the audience.

How well did The Flash do at the box office?
We are no strangers to the hype that surrounded the release of The Flash film. Owing to the drama that surrounded the new management at DC, people were eager to finally see a major superhero film after months. However, it seems like the film could not live up to the expectations of the studio.

As per reports by Variety, the Flash failed to deliver, as it only grossed $55 million at the box office. To make matters worse for the studio, the film cost nearly $200 million in production. Furthermore, the studio had to invest another $100 million in the film’s promotions. Safe to assume that The Flash disappointed at the box office.
