Ryan Reynolds starred in a time travel film, The Adam Project. However, who could have imagined he could go back in time in reality? The Canadian actor bought Wrexham AFC with his partner, Rob McElhenney, two years ago. However, in reality, his connection with the club goes way back than we can even imagine, as he claims via a recent update.

The Deadpool actor, when he took over Wrexham AFC, did not know a single thing about football, as he claimed. However, in no time, he and McElhenney learned the game and now are passionate about it. But what if we told you 130 years ago, the Vancouver-born actor was a part of the team? Unbelievable, right? The actor himself claimed by posting a group picture of the first-ever Welsh Cup Final in 1878. He wrote, “My first stint at Wrexham AFC about 130 years ago.”

He asked if they were sure and poked fun at the situation. Everyone is aware of the father of four’s sense of humor. And taking advantage of this beautifully surprising event, Reynolds went along with fans thinking he was time traveling.

Ahead of the second season of the league, once again, the owner creates a light environment to ease the tension. However, he himself is annoyed because he would not be able to attend the openings.

Why will Ryan Reynolds miss the opening of Wrexham AFC’s League Two?

The 46-year-old is juggling so many things simultaneously. While on one hand, his Maximum Effort just launched a channel, and on the other hand, the actor signed many other movie projects as well. Meanwhile, the production of his upcoming Marvel movie, Deadpool 3, is already in progress.
