A lot has happened since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first-ever public appearances since King Charles’ coronation. Starting from a stalker lurking over their property in the still darkness of the night to hounding paparazzi chasing them down a near-fatal car chase, the duo has encountered a lot. No sooner did the high-profile couple leave their venue in New York City, blacked out vehicles and motorcycles went on in pursuit of chasing the couple for hours on end.

Although original reports by Reuters steered clear of any misconceptions, there was a wave of controversies and false allegations flooding the internet. However, clearing off the air of rumors and controversies, the NYPD has finally given its statement on the matter. The Deputy Commissioner Public Information officer issues a statement to the Daily Wire confronting the allegations. According to Julian Phillips, there were no collisions or injuries involved in their transport. Unlike those reported by countless publications, the Duke and Duchess arrived at their destination, all safe and sound.

There were no reported collisions, summons, injuries or arrests in regard,” affirmed the officer on national television. Previous reports by Deadline ambiguously claimed that the “relentless pursuit resulted in multiple collisions involving other drivers on the road.” However, that was not exactly the case, as is clarified by the New York Police.
