It was in 1984 that Arnold Schwarzenegger first said “I’ll be back,” in what would go on to become the blockbuster phenomenon, The Terminator. In the movie, the cyborg assassin calmly states it before wreaking havoc. And in the years to come, the catchphrase went on to become symbolic of the Golden Age of Hollywood as it was uttered like a promise of a blockbuster in various movies. But the man behind the phrase itself does not resonate with this sentiment.

Defying popular belief, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that The Terminator catchphrase is not his favorite. So what has the actor chosen in lieu of the three magic words that have been a symbol of blockbuster magic?

As he returned to acting after an extended hiatus, Arnold Schwarzenegger said in his FUBAR trailer, “I am back, baby!” This is just one of the many instances where the actor has got the audience roaring with the punchline. However, when it came to picking his favorite, the Austrian Oak said, Hercules in New York is his favorite in terms of punchlines.

It is unclear which punchline from the mythological movie the 75-year-old is referring to. The movie, albeit belonging to a supreme franchise, did not prove to be the most stunning debut for the actor. In fact, he mostly did it because of his idol.

Looking back at the movie, many assume Schwarzenegger was either going for a satirical take on the Greek hero or he was storing his acting skills for later years. At no point in its hour-and-a-half duration does Schwarzenegger utter a punchline that gets the audience rolling. Therefore, one can assume that the actor was only joking with his fans.
