Deadpool & Wolverine would be the first film officially tying Fox’s X-Men and MCU together. Considering how the multiverse saga will be central to the upcoming movie’s plot, fans will most likely get to catch multiple Deadpool variants in it. This was further teased in a new teaser released on Wednesday, where several variants appeared from different realities, including Lady Deadpool. While Blake Lively and Taylor Swift have long been rumored for the popular role, it appears fans have now turned their attention elsewhere. 

The new TV spot gave a glimpse of a blonde Lady Deadpool slowly sashaying away from an explosion. However, the makers gave nothing for fans to figure out who actually would be playing the character. After it was confirmed last month that Taylor Swift was not in Deadpool & Wolverine, fans were convinced that Blake Lively was suiting up for Lady Deadpool. However, now they speculate that the iconic variant in the upcoming movie will be portrayed by none other than Ryan Reynolds himself, not Swift or Lively.

Earlier this month, Deadpool & Wolverine held a special private screening in Shanghai, China, showing 30-40 minutes of the Shawn Levy-directed movie ahead of its release. The lucky fans who got a chance to catch a glimpse of it claimed that Lady Deadpool’s voice in the movie sounded very much like that of Blake Lively. However, many dismissed these rumors as false.

Tired of guessing, fans now look to Ryan Reynolds to play Lady Deadpool, no matter how traumatizing it might be to see him as a blonde woman.

It has always been logical for Blake Lively to play Lady Deadpool, especially since she is Ryan Reynolds' real-life spouse. Fans are also excited about the idea of seeing the couple, who often engage in playful banter online, recreate that chemistry on screen. However, speculations have grown wilder than ever, and fans would now prefer to see Reynolds play a female character in the upcoming movie, putting aside their desire to see the Green Lantern stars reunite on screen after more than ten years.

Many fans, however, are still counting on Blake Lively's appearance. They also suggested many other actresses who could take on the role. 

At this point, anyone could play Lady Deadpool, and there is no point in guessing before the movie comes out. However, given Reynolds' comedic prowess, it would not be shocking if he were to digitally insert his face into a woman's body to bring the character to life.
