North West’s Got the Dad Genes: Mom Kim Kardashian Reveals She “does her own thing” and Lives Like a Loner
While Kim Kardashian may be making her way into the acting industry, she still has a very strong hold on her family values. The mom of four has showcased her tight-knit bond with her famous sister and momager, Kris Jenner. Although she prioritizes her relationship with her family, she recently revealed that was not the case for her daughter, North West.
Even though the 10-year-old is constantly surrounded by her younger siblings, Kardashian claims that they do not share the same bond as she and her siblings do. In fact, it seems as though her eldest might share more qualities with her father, Kanye West, instead.

In this week’s episode of The Kardashians, titled It Takes A Village, Kim opened up about North West’s dynamic with her siblings, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. She revealed that she feels her eldest “lives her life like an only child” and tends to “do her own thing.” While that may have reminded fans of the children’s father, who also tends to focus on his own thing, Kardashian said that was not the case with the rest of her kids.
Although North West seems to isolate herself, the SKIMS mogul stepped up to the bat and gave her children the attention that they required. She also said that Chicago and Psalm, who are a year apart, were “like twins almost.” However, it was her second-born, Saint, who ended up being left out.
Even though North was not the one to interact with her siblings, Kim Kardashian also ended up revealing the extent she went through to help nurture her children’s interests.

Be it with trips around the world, the mom of four still makes sure to dazzle her kids. In the same episode, she revealed that she tries to find what her kids’ are passionate about. For North, it was Paris and Fashion Week, like her creative father. However, for her boys, Saint and Psalm it was soccer. Kim Kardashian said, “Our boys love soccer,” after revealing her plans for a “Soccer Mom Tour Trip” to London.
She also gave fans a peek at Chicago’s interests, admitting that she had taken her mini-me and her friends to San Diego because “they love the zoos and the Legoland’s and all that.” While the star may be helping her children explore their interests, her ex-husband Kanye West also does the same. Most recently, he made waves after taking his older son to Italy to watch a football game. It came shortly after Kardashian’s Tokyo trip, but it proved that both parents are still extremely involved in their kids’ lives.
