Noah Lyles Dreams Up a “game night rotation” With Henry Cavill Amid the Buzz for Warhammer 40K Adaptation
Henry Cavill would much rather be at home, playing Total War: Warhammer II, than attend the red carpets. The star is a self-confessed video game nerd and has even admitted to logging at least four hours of gaming a day, if not more. And, of course, the reason Cavill landed the iconic role of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher is because he knew the character inside and out, having spent countless hours playing the video games. Recently, Noah Lyles gave a nod to Cavill’s passion for gaming.
Lyles shared a personal wish for his fellow gamer while giving a shoutout to the Superman actor’s well-known love for Warhammer.

Noah Lyles recently sat down for an interview with Mixed Feelings after winning the Olympic gold medal for the 100m race in Paris. When asked about his “Dream game night rotation,” the athlete shared that he is big into Catan, survival board games, and Magic: The Gathering with his usual crew- which includes his girlfriend, his brother, his brother’s girlfriend, and two friends. But if he had to bring someone new to the table, it would be Henry Cavill, whom he referred to as “the actor who played in Man of Steel.”
Lyles pointed out that Cavill is a “big Warhammer fan," and that he would be a natural fit for the games he plays. “I like people who are passionate about the game,” added the 27-year-old. While it is no secret that Cavill is a die-hard gaming enthusiast, especially when it comes to Warhammer, updates on his adaptation of the game have been few and far between.
Here is everything known so far about the production of the anticipated Warhammer 40K adaptation.

In December 2022, it was announced that Henry Cavill would not only be leading an Amazon adaptation of Warhammer 40K stories but also producing it. The series would be based on the iconic war game developed by Games Workshop. While the news thrilled fans, the studio had since then kept its mouth shut regarding other details. Then came the infamous SAG-AFTRA strike, putting many projects on hold.
As fans began to lose hope about the Amazon-Henry Cavill collaboration, a surprising update landed. Games Workshop shared a signed project agreement, confirming that Warhammer 40K was moving ahead speedily. However, no further major updates have surfaced since. Now, fans are not only eager to find out when the adaptation will finally hit screens but also excited about what a gaming partnership between Noah Lyles and Henry Cavill might look like.
