“No comment”- Warner Bros Breaks Silence on Cillian Murphy Joining 'Harry Potter' Series Rumors, Sparks Debate

Harry Potter needs absolutely no introduction at all. Meant for the children as a fantasy world, the book series as well as the movie franchise, help make its impression upon the hearts of children as well as adults all around the biggest. Its movie saga focusing on the character of Harry and his friends may have ended back in 2011, but with talks of a new Harry Potter series, it seems there is still more to be told.

As HBO is all in to roll out a series of the beloved franchise, rumors have been high and loud for Christopher Nolan's prodigy, Clillian Murphy, to join in the project. However, it seems that Warner Bros is in no mood to spill any tea about it.

Warner Bros Chairman and CEO, Channing Dungey, had an exclusive interview with Deadline in which she talked about many upcoming Warner Bros projects, which included all things Harry Potter. The outlet specifically asked if there is a possibility of seeing Cillian Murphy in the role of Lord Voldemort, as he is the fans' favorite pick and is also rumored for another Harry Potter character. To this, she replied, “I have no comment, no comment, no comment.”

While the silence on who will be the next Voldemort continues to be a complete mystery, the casting of the main three leads is also pending at the moment. Speaking about who will play the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, Dungey further revealed that the studios are not yet ready to announce the children, as they are still working their way through that process.

While Channing Dungey held her lips tight about Cillian Murphy's potential appearance in the series, she was more than happy to talk about The Big Bang Theory's spin-off, titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.

With The Big Bang Theory being a show of the past days, fans are extremely excited about the spinoff about Stuart Bloom, the perpetually struggling comic book store owner. According to Channing Dungey, the writers Chuck, Zak, and Bill are hard at work writing for the upcoming show, and they have already seen some material at the studio. The conversations between the studios and the writers and ongoing on how to make it better.

When asked if there are any chances of the stars from the original show making an appearance on the new one, Channing Dungey again got into her zipped-lip avatar, saying, "I would never say never." The answer is strong enough to raise the hopes of many fans to see their beloved The Big Bang Theory characters for one more time in the future. While the show's fans might have a gala after time with Dungey's latest comments, Harry Potter fans might have to exercise a little more patience to learn the fate of Cillian Murphy's presence in the HBO show.
