A new live-action movie, Masters of the Universe, has been in the works for what feels like forever, but it is finally starting to come together. Bumblebee's Travis Knight is officially directing the project, and the movie is set to hit the big screens in June 2026. But the real excitement around this project is about Nicholas Galitzine, who seems to be everywhere these days. The British actor has landed the role of He-Man, and from the looks of it, he is already hard at work getting into character.

Galitzine recently shared a holiday snap of himself standing next to his Christmas tree. But the decorations were not the most interesting part. In the photo, Galitzine gave a peek at his jaw-dropping transformation for Masters of the Universe. While he has always been in great shape, for the upcoming role, he has packed on even more muscle- practically doubled his size to play the towering, muscular hero, He-Man.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Masters of the Universe will follow Prince Adam of Eternia, who, with the help of his Power Sword, transforms into He-Man and gains superhuman strength and abilities to defend his home planet and Castle Grayskull. And whether or not the movie meets fans’ expectations, judging by the frenzy around Galitzine’s transformation, fans are already sold on the lead star.

Fans have been absolutely smitten by Nicholas Galitzine’s buffed-up look and immediately rushed to flood X with their reactions. 

Nicholas Galitzine had a breakout hit last year with Red, White & Royal Blue. But even after proving his acting chops time and time again, fans were still a bit doubtful about him taking on the role of a hero from Mattel, the same company that is currently working behind a Barbie sequel. The hesitation stemmed from his romcom background, which some feared might turn off the male audience looking for a more rugged, macho take on the superhero. But with his recent transformation, it is safe to say that Galitzine is starting to change that perception.

Masters of the Universe was supposed to start production in 2022, but it has been in development for a while. Now, though, everything is finally lining up, and filming is set to begin soon. From what it seems, this upcoming role would present a completely different side of Nicholas Galitzine.
