“Never satisfied”- Hugh Jackman’s Iconic Yellow Suit Divides the Internet Following ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer
In Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel decided to deck Wolverine out in his signature bright yellow and blue suit, taken straight from the pages of Marvel Comics. Despite Hugh Jackman's epic run as Wolverine on the screen, his comic-true yellow suit never got its day in the sun. Well, until now. However, fans are not exactly thrilled about the costume as they noticed a few rough edges in its look.
When it comes to drawing direct inspiration from the comics, Deadpool & Wolverine's costume drew heavy inspiration from Wolverine's ensemble in Astonishing X-Men, a comic series that ran from 2004 to 2008. The only major tweak from the Astonishing X-Men's look in Deadpool 3 is Wolverine's switch to sleeves instead of his iconic bare arms, which did not sit well with fans at first. In the latest trailer, however, Deadpool & Wolverine teased Jackman's return to the bare-arm look, though they skipped the shoulder guards.

This once again got fans talking, especially those who wanted to see a costume right from the comic books, designed by the talented John Cassaday. The movie is about to release on July 26th, and it was Jackman's comeback after six years away that became the center of intrigue, even before all the Taylor Swift rumors. He last played Wolverine in 2017, in what was supposed to be his final outing.
Considering the mixed response from fans, however, it is difficult to gauge whether Jackman's Wolverine will be a unanimous crowd-pleaser.
Fans are underwhelmed by Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine costume
Shawn Levy, the director behind Deadpool & Wolverine, once shared that Hugh Jackman was absolutely thrilled to slip into Wolverine’s comic book-accurate costume. In an interview with Jake’s Takes on YouTube, Levy revealed how they cooked up the idea of Logan sporting the yellow and blue ensemble. However, it now appears that many fans are not impressed by the costume the Deadpool folks had in mind for Wolverine.
Many fans voiced their disappointment over the absence of Wolverine's mask and shoulder guards from the comic costume.
There were also fans who were in support of the look and criticized those who are "never satisfied".
