After Henry Cavill, Netflix Casts Another ‘Man of Steel’ Alum as a Fan Favorite ‘The Witcher’ Anime Character
The Witcher was a powerful franchise that the gaming community and avid readers of fantasy novels kept on a pedestal. This choice may appear questionable to those who have only known the fantasy world crafted by Andrzej Sapkowski through its Netflix adaptation. Before the series even touched the surface, the devoted fans of the franchise were vehemently against the idea of a live-action series adaptation. But it is only at the promise of Henry Cavill that they were willing to relent.
Netflix has already made two seasons of The Witcher with the confirmation of three more alongside various spin-offs and an anime series. Given how beneficial the Man of Steel actor proved to be for the franchise, the makers are putting it to the test again.

The fantasy series is currently the talk of the town, as Season 3’s release date is just around the corner. It is set to be the last one featuring Henry Cavill. And while fans have their eyes on when the trailer is going to drop, the creators seem to be more concerned about The Rats spin-off and the anime series that is set to be released. As per the Redanian Intelligence, Christina Wren has joined the cast of The Witcher anime as a voice actor.
Cavill’s Man Of Steel co-star has been roped in to voice Essi Daven. Daven is among the most liked characters from the books and even has a romantic arc with Geralt.
The addition of Christan Wren has confirmed that Geralt will also be a part of the anime. However, much like many things about the anime, it is not clear who is going to voice the character.

A trait that the creators of The Witcher series have kept up with consistently is keeping things under wrap. A little too under the wrap for fans’ liking. While the series has big plans and has made most of them known to the public, there have not been many updates on them. Fortunately for the anime, not only does it have a notable actor voicing the character of Essi Daven but the title of the anime has also been confirmed as The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep.
This is not the first time the creatures of the Continent have been seen in an animated setting. A previous attempt in 2020, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf proved to be fruitful and hence the idea of The Witcher series in anime style emerged.
