For quite some time, fans have been eagerly anticipating the moment Henry Cavill would announce the release of his Warhammer Cinematic Universe. After he made an announcement last year about his collaboration with Amazon, there have been numerous speculations regarding what role the British actor would play in the upcoming series. Fans have been deeply heartbroken after seeing the legendary actor taking a departure from his most iconic roles. However, now they have something more exciting to look forward to.

While there have not been any recent updates regarding the Warhammer 40k TV show, its producers recently landed another project following the writers’ strike. Natalie Viscuso, who is the president of the production house, celebrated this achievement on Instagram.

The writers finally pulled the plug on their protests after a dark hiatus of five months. Post the closure of the uprisings, Sony Pictures won a weekend bidding battle for Jack Follman’s short story It’s Over. Akela Cooper, one of the best horror writers working in Hollywood today, will be crafting the script of the story. However, what drove Viscuso to celebrate this win on her Instagram story was the fact that Vertigo Entertainment will be the driving force behind the movie’s production.

The short story, It’s Over, will have all the elements to keep its audience on the edge of their seats. This would be the second deal by Roy Lee, the owner of Vertigo Entertainment after Victor Sweeter’s Occupant at New Line Cinema. Viscuso shared the screenshot of a Deadline article announcing this victory and congratulated Cooper and Vertigo Entertainment.
