Sydney Sweeney began her career in Hollywood without a godfather, but her hard work and talent landed her where she is today. Though she did not know anybody in the industry before she started, it was her incredible family that stood by her during tough times. The 25-year-old never forgets what her family did and sacrificed for her, as she opens up about it in a recent Spotify podcast.

Sweeney has previously talked about the 20-hour-long drives her family used to take to Los Angeles. These crazy drives were for her so that she could give one audition. The actress is never tired of praising her family, but in the recent podcast of The Hollywood Reporter, she opened up about more. Sweeney said, “My whole family kinda fell in love with this whole crazy process.”

Through the crazy process, the actress meant how her family started taking large stoppages in LA. Sweeney revealed that initially, her mother used to drive her to LA. However, later on, her family started staying there, initially for a day, then a week, and then for months. Eventually, the family left Spokane and shifted permanently to LA.

Though Sweeney’s auditions in LA demanded a lot of time, her family had a smart way to manage it.

Although her parents allowed her to pursue her dream of becoming an actor, they also did not want her to miss school. Sydney Sweeney revealed in the podcast that her family came up with a smart way to deal with it. They used to pick her up from school at 3 pm and then drive to LA for her auditions in the morning.

After she gave the auditions, they would spend the day in the city and drive back in the evening so that she would not miss school the next day. That is why she would skip barely a day at school. The 25-year-old also revealed that when her family shifted to LA, she got homeschooled for quite a while.

Sweeney claimed that her parents saw how happy she was while going to the auditions and LA, and hence, they sacrificed their well-settled life in Spokane to move with her. Apparently, it paid off, and the actress has become a household name.
