Mother to Four, Blake Lively Feels “so grown up” With This Mundane Thing, as She Gears Up for ‘It Ends With Us’ Promotions
Blake Lively is returning to the big screens after four years. While this alone is enough to get fans excited about buying the tickets, what really sweetens the deal is that she will star in the adaptation of It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, one of today's hottest romance novels. The promotion for the upcoming release is currently in full force, which means there is also an influx of Blake Lively content- from discussions on her outfits to the personal anecdotes she has been sharing.

Blake Lively attended the Book Bonanza 2024 in Grapevine, Texas, last month, to support Colleen Hoover at her annual literary event. Posting some pictures from her day with books and bookworms, the actress compared her experience with the time she used to "study for finals at Barnes & Noble Burbank, feeling so grown up drinking caramel Frappuccino" and, of course, "stalking crushes between the aisles". Lively also tagged Brittney Smith, who she believed would know what she was talking about.
Lively further talked about her Balmain minidress from the label’s spring 2024 collection, saying it "deserves its own gallery". The Gossip Girl alum attended the event alongside her It Ends with Us co-star, Brandon Sklenar- the actor who also received a ton of backlash from the 2016 novel lovers along with Lively. Since the teaser for the upcoming film adaptation dropped, fans have been sharing their disappointment with the differences between the lead cast's images and what they had envisioned.
Finally, Blake Lively came forward to address fans' anxieties about the movie, not doing justice to the book with a huge promise.

Blake Lively addressed fans' worries through ET Online last month. The actress opposed the criticism for It Ends With Us and assured fans that they had done their best "to honor the book and honor the fans". She requested fans to give It Ends With Us, the movie, a chance before jumping to any conclusion. Even the author, Colleen Hoover shared similar feelings.
Hoover told readers that the upcoming adaptation "has stayed so true to the book". And as for the age disparity, the author told Today that it was a conscious decision. "We need to age them out because I messed up", said Hoover when she realized that her book characters seemed too young to be neurosurgeons. For now, whether or not Blake Lively's upcoming adaptation does justice to its source will be unveiled on August 9.
