Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no strangers to the harsh reality of online bullying. Ever since their union, dealing with the dark side of the virtual world has become part and parcel of their daily lives. While they could not protect themselves from it, despite stepping away from social media entirely, the Sussexes' experiences have fueled a strong drive within them to build a safer online space for everyone, with a special focus on parents and kids.

In their journey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken another big step to help parents like themselves shield their children from cyberbullying and other internet nightmares.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, through their Archewell Foundation, have recently launched a platform for parents, called The Parents' Network. The platform is designed to support parents dealing with the harm caused to their children by social media, whether directly or indirectly. To talk more about the initiative, the couple sat for an interview with CBS Sunday Morning’s Jane Pauley.

Markle and Prince Harry discussed how they aim to make social media safer for children. The Duchess also shared her own experience with social media bullying, the toll of which even motivated her to take some self-destructive paths. On the CBS Sunday Morning interview, Meghan Markle talked about her “amazing” 5-year-old Prince Archie and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet. The Duchess shared that as a parent, all she wants to do is "protect" her young children. She explained that the best way to look into this cause is through the lenses of "what if this was my son or my daughter".

This was one of the biggest motivations behind Meghan Markle's dedication towards the initiative, to protect her children from seeing their "whole life turned upside down" because of something she could not control. The newly launched parents' network by Markle and Prince Harry is now available to parents living in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
