He described the experience as “awful” and "worst.”  Recently, when he was asked about it, Affleck explained that the struggles went beyond simply being part of a superhero film. He stated, "A lot of it was misalignment of agendas, understandings, expectations," that made the experience difficult, as reported by GQ. Affleck also admitted to his struggles during that time, acknowledging that he did not contribute positively to the process either. He now has no interest in returning to that genre.
