“Million miles away..” – Christopher Nolan Reveals What We Can Expect From ‘Oppenheimer’ by Comparing It to His ‘Batman’ Movies
Oppenheimer is making sounds even before its release. The Christopher Nolan movie has been a source of memes for what it promises. We can expect nothing less than being blown away by the legendary director, who assured us that the movie lives up to the hype. But making a wartime movie based on real events is no easy task. Because he centered the movie around the brain behind the weapons, Nolan’s vision will become our experience of the event.
Nolan has previously made movies for DC, giving an exploration into the world of Batman. But jumping from fantasy movies to storytelling actual events is a task that he handled methodically. In an interview, he explained what went into the movie-making and what fascinated him.

The actions of Oppenheimer forever changed the way wars were carried out when his work contributed to the formation of nuclear weapons used during World War 2. But covering the life and work of a legend needed a clear vision. Nolan revealed to TheHollywoodReporter during an interview how the idea of this movie is not too far from his previous ones. “Not a million miles away from the things we were doing with Batman and the Dark Knight trilogy,” he explained.
This means that the movie is not really the physicist’s origin story, but rather has an essence of it. Even the DC trilogy explained the minds of the characters and the villains in an atypical way instead of a biography or a journey from the origin. Nolan was fascinated with the intellect of the American scientist and his peers for making such progress back then. But the credited genius was not immune to the regrets that he felt for his actions and their impact. The war led to the formation of a weapon that could wipe out humanity.
This ambitious Universal Studios is expected to be one of the biggest since the end of the pandemic, with excitement on a high.

It is not just the director and his producer wife Emma Thomas whose names will attract an audience. The movie casts big names like Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, etc. Along with the drama, it is supposed to be high on some steamy scenes among the characters.
The Interstellar maker has promised not to use CGI, leading many to joke whether there will be usage of real atomic bombs at the movie theatres. That may just be a joke, but his action-filled story should show history and reality through a fantasy ride.
