There might not be a casting director today who doesn’t know Millie Bobby Brown. The young actress became famous overnight starring in the Netflix gem Stranger Things. Born in Marbella, Spain, in 2004, this talented teen has traced an incredible career following her breakout role as Eleven. Most fans believe that this series was a life-changing opportunity that catapulted her to stardom. However, many may not know it wasn’t the first flagship show she graced with her presence.

Two years before wowing people with her portrayal of Eleven, the British superstar appeared on an episode of a fan-favorite show NCIS. Her role is evidence that she was meant to be the next pop-culture phenomenon.

Only at the age of 10, Millie Bobby Brown bagged a haunting role on the wildly popular show NCIS. The actress appeared in the episode called Parental Guidance Suggested in season 12. She played the role of a girl named Rachel who witnessed her mother getting murdered brutally. The episode shows that her often-traveling Navy commander father comes under the radar of suspects as he returns home after hearing about the terrible incident.

However, when things unfold, it is revealed that Rachel killed her mother because she wanted her father to stay with her. Playing a child murderer at such a young age certainly needs intensity and understanding of emotions to bring that on-screen. Well, the Godzilla star did prove that she can embody any character she is given.

Unfortunately, her remarkable talent to grab the essence of a character was interpreted wrongly by people at that time.

Millie Bobby Brown received criticism for being mature

In a cover story will Allure, Millie Bobby Brown opened up about the struggles she faced in the show business. She revealed how an influential casting director told her that she was too mature to work in Hollywood as a child actor. “Being told that it wasn’t, that I wouldn’t make it in this industry, it was so hurtful,” she told Allure.

However, her parents supported her and asked her to give the last audition and then she can be free of all this. Surprisingly, it was the audition for her most cherished role in Netflix’s sci-fi series. Meanwhile, the Hawkins gang will soon gather to start the shooting for the last time of the show.
