Ever since the age of nine, the former Suits Actress and forever an advocate for women’s rights, Meghan Markle has stayed upfront with her lifelong mission. Not only did she speak of it in various instances, but her contributions to her goals are also an endless compilation of charitable endeavors and humanitarian work. Long before she even joined the royal family, she was already an established actress, an Ambassador of UNICEF, a patron of charities, and whatnot. 

All of these qualities brought her closer to the vicinity of other notable figures who share the same ideologies as her. One of them was none other than the former American First Lady Michelle Obama. The two influential women in their domains had more or less similar struggles to come past through in life. Thus, the two joined hands in the past and their friendship went further beyond just group discussion and paper works.

Michelle Obama enlightened Meghan Markle about motherhood

Back in 2019, when the Duchess of Sussex welcomed her firstborn, Prince Archie, she never put a halt to duties that needed to be rendered off. In the course of the same, she also spoke with Michelle Obama. She already had a prior experience of motherhood long before Markle and thus served as an idol. Thus inspiring her about the thrilling journey they lay ahead of her, Obama said, “Being a mother has been a masterclass in letting go”.

Speaking of the magic that a child brings into the house, Michelle Obama further tipped Markle on how time would expand and contract. “Each moment holds its own little eternity,” said the First Lady. She further went on to wish Prince Harry and Meghan Markle all the very best. “Savour of it all,” marked Obama. 

The two activists have come a long way

Right from the days of pregnancy and marriage, Michelle Obama has been an active supporter of the Duchess. Soon after the Sussexes parted ways with the royal family, their close associate spoke in for of them at numerous occasions. Despising the treatment Meghan Markle received at the palace, the mother of two was quite distressed.

Following the same, the two have met a couple of times for important humanitarian activities. Recently, Markle found herself at the receiving end of crude criticism when sources found out that she has been in touch with the associates of the former First Lady. The rampant coverage also gave rise to stirring speculations of her apparent presidential run.
