This year, as eagle-eyed fans awaited the moment for Blake Lively to serve her A1 fashion moment at the Met Gala, they had to return empty-handed as the star was nowhere to be seen. Little did the audience know, who were waiting for the Gossip Girl alum with bated breath to make an unforgettable fashion flex akin to her Statue of Liberty Met Gala attire, that she was indeed in her couture armor but was saving the flex for another event.

Days later, Lively recently took to her Instagram to treat fans with the much-anticipated vogue moment. However, the only difference is that it is not from the Met Gala.

On May 2, Blake Lively attended the celebration of Pharrell Williams’ Tiffany Titan collection by donning the fashion house’s iconic blue charm resembling a half-mermaid. Today, the actress took to her Instagram to finally share the pictures from the event, captioning it as “when you dress up as just the tail”. She seized the opportunity to showcase her gratitude to Tiffany & Co. for giving her and her niece, Cakey Johnson, to play dress up. The thread ranged from paparazzi captures to bathroom selfies, and of course, good food. 

Lively also did not miss the chance to express how the event made them feel extraordinarily “special” and further cheered them for having “fed” them well. At the event, the star donned a Happy Isles vintage 1960s calf-length sequin dress with a slit. The dress was complete with fish scale patterns in turquoise and paired with strappy, rhinestone-embellished sandals. She wore two Tiffany brooches on her chest, a two-chained diamond bracelet with an aquamarine stone, diamond studded earrings, and similar rings.

Given Lively finally dropped her iconic fashion moment just close to the heels of the Met Gala this year, it prompts one to ponder the real reason she skipped the biggest fashion night in Hollywood.

According to Elle Magazine, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, opted out of the 2024 Met Gala to have a cozy day for themselves. Although this is not the first time Lively skipped the fashion extravaganza, this year marked a second consecutive time for the fashion mogul after having graced the fashion parade 10 times in a row. Reportedly, the actress stayed back to spend time with her children and husband. 

Even though fans expected Lively to attend the event after her fashion flex at the Tiffany Titan collection’s celebration, the anticipation never came to fruition. While that left fans disappointed with yet another no-show, given her long road of alliance with Vogue, the fact that there is always a next time has now kept fans on their toes. Hence, for those who did not get the scope to enjoy Lively’s couture moment on the red carpet, at least the Tiffany & Co. appearance acted like a savior.
