They wanted to be there in the UK for the Wrexham business. Tuesday evening saw a celebration of the team’s promotion with an open-top bus parade. The owners of the club, the Canadian actor, and Rob McElhenney, as well as Wrexham AFC’s staff and players, joined the parade. Along a 3.5-mile route in the northern Welsh city, thousands of fans turned up. Three buses drove away from the club’s racecourse ground with the victorious team that won the National League championship and was promoted back to the English Football League after 15 years. The women’s side also sealed promotion to the Genero Adran Premier by winning their tournament final. These are certainly big causes for a huge celebration.
