But before her arrival in the royal corridors, she was simply an aspiring woman who liked to operate her lifestyle website, The Tig, in her spare time when she wasn’t busy with her acting endeavors. While the website is no longer active, it did have a unique post in which the Duchess rejected the notion that Thanksgiving was all about turkey. She then displayed her favorite dish, Cornish game hens.

In 2016, she wrote if someone was searching for an alternative to the “famed and lauded turkey dinner,” a recipe for Cornish game hens was ideal for the holiday season. The former actress had discovered the dish in 2014 thanks to Stanley Tucci, whose wife Felicity Blunt wrote the cookbook The Tucci Table. The actress became a princess in 2018,however, her choice of food denotes that she had the princess touch long before that.

While she does not update her website with unique insights now, Meghan Markle makes sure that Thanksgiving remains special for her and her family.

Just a week before Thanksgiving, the 42-year-old was spotted on the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women event. While the Duchess’s gorgeous presence took millions by surprise, it was her conversation about her children that warmed everyone’s heart. When asked about her favorite family custom, Markle’s profound love for her children shone through.

The former actress responded that her children are still very small and that she was “enjoying every moment of it.” She also shared that she adores trimming and decorating the Christmas tree with her children. While this is her first red-carpet appearance in a while, it is not the first time the actress has shown her motherly affection for her children.
