When Meghan Markle entered the royal sphere, it was only the then-Prince Charles who had her back. Not just being captivated by Markle, King Charles actually loved the way she carried herself. The same becomes evident in Meghan Markle’s designer’s revelation of the King’s reaction to the gown. 

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Clare Wright Keller revealed the exquisite white Givenchy won King Charles’ heart. The gown had a special embroidery stitched to tribute to the Commonwealth. Upon learning about this, Keller in her conversation with the king said, “King Charles was just in awe of the dress and the veil embroidery.” While the then 76-year-old kept enquiring about Markle’s dress, the designer told him all.

The world saw how King Charles walked Markle down the aisle since her controversial father Thomas Markle did not show up. Nonetheless, in a few days, the Duchess made the King know that she was worth all of it. Reports even had it that King used to call Markle, tungsten.

As per the name suggests, like Tungsten, Markle’s way of tackling things in the classic Victorian stoicism impressed the king. In addition to her unique nickname, the Duchess has split more tea. Markle had once revealed how her mom still calls her “flower” to this day. The now mother-of-two is set to take the Billboard chart.
