Prince Harry’s presence at that King’s coronation, with Meghan Markle’s denial to attend the same, sent shockwaves around the Kingdom and abroad. The decision was met with polarizing reactions from fans and followers all over the world. While many praised the Duchess for taking the right decision, others unloaded hoards of criticism for missing out on such an important occasion for the family. Nonetheless, everyone is of the opinion that it was the Duchess’ decision to stay away from the monarchy. However, little did we know that the situation compelled Meghan Markle to take the stirring decision, or so says People. 

As reported by People’s recent publication, a source intimately close to Meghan Markle clarified the same to the public. A friend of the Duchess made it clear that she wanted to attend King Charles’ once-in-a-generation ceremony. For all that he has done for the Duchess since day one, she wanted to extend her support in respect of the same. From walking her down the aisle on her wedding when Markle’s own father backed out to getting captivated by her intelligence, both shared an affectionate father-daughter relationship of all. 

Nonetheless, the high levels of scrutiny forced a “no-show” decision on the part of the Duchess. “The Scrutiny she received outweighs the support,” claimed her friend to the magazine. The anonymous source further went on to add that despite whatever decision they make, “there’s always going to be that other side challenging their reasoning”. And as a matter of course, no one wishes to put themselves in that situation. 

Thus, the Duchess withdrew herself from the coronation ceremony and opted to stay back in California.

The confirmation of the Duke’s solo visit to the United Kingdom came a couple of weeks ago as the spokesperson from both sides announced his presence. However, some recent developments suggest that even Prince Harry would be trying his level best to fly back home to California on the same day to celebrate Prince Archie’s birthday. 

Preparations for the Prince’s fourth birthday have commenced as the father of two has packed his bags for the event in the UK. No official encounter with the royal family members has happened so far.
