Meghan Markle’s Weekend Delight Involved a Trip to Archewell Foundation’s Welcome Project
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have emptied the monarchy’s soil, but their regal ways remain intact. Since the day the pair crossed paths, a similar nod of interest has come from their end for works of charity. So much so that the only gift acceptable at the Sussex couple’s wedding was donations for a charity of choice. Soon after their wedding, the lovebirds launched their very own Archewell Foundation. While the Duke and the Duchess have been quite active in the foundation’s programs and developments, Markle was spotted recently visiting a key program to the Southern California Welcome Project.
As Markle graciously made her way to the event, here is how she utilized it to lend a hand to the cause.

An update from the refreshed website of the Archewell Foundation shared that the Duchess of Sussex paid a visit to Southern California’s Welcome Project on Saturday. She was there for “an evening of cooking and storytelling” as shared on the Archewell Foundation. This update lies under the title “Building Community for Women” on the website, with a post cueing the inspiration from which the program has been launched.
Reportedly, this wing of the program came to fulfillment in 2023 to support women-led campaigns of charity. It is an inspiration by Markle’s work with the Hubb Community Kitchen in the UK. The program aims to create “a safe haven and inclusive environment for women who have recently resettled in the US from Afghanistan”. Hence, in collaboration with the Archewell Foundation’s partner Mina’s List, a group of 15 women assembled to prepare traditional Afghan food along with Markle.
While this year’s charity streak comes in grandeur by the Duchess, the previous years were no less than giving for the royal either.
Meghan Markle’s charity work
When it comes to going neck-deep in the groundwork for a non-profit organization, Meghan Markle remains more than ready each time. Similarly, when the Prince and Markle were visiting Vancouver last year for the Invictus Games, Markle paid a quick return visit to Justice For Girls. They also made their presence known for the Santa Barbara Charity last year.
