The Spotify deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have come to an end, but the rapacious controversies around the same have clearly not. No sooner did Spotify announce the fallout than numerous media personalities started pouring in their rampant criticism against the couple. The Swedish giant long parted its ways with the Duchess, which quickly conceived some insinuating remarks from its executive, Bill Simmons. Following his lead were various other celebrities, which now include the UTA CEO, Jeremy Zimmer. 

As reported by Page Six, the United Talent Agency’s head shared his remarks on the Duchess at the 2023 Cannes Lions advertising festival. Criticizing Markle’s audio interview talents, Zimmer Stated, “Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent”. Rather, he does not consider Markle as any kind of talent per day fit for the public. Given Archetypes back-to-back successful endeavors and huge fanfare, the UTA co-founder’s came quite contradictory. Nonetheless, he had his explanations for that, too. 

Zimmer elaborated how fan following, although a great benefactor, does not exactly define the merits of the entities. “Fame does not guarantee proficiency in a particular field,” said Zimmer, disqualifying all fanbase Archetypes had garnered for itself from its premiere.

Archetypes by Meghan Markle have been definitely canceled by the media giant with no new seasons to renew. However, a follow-up to the first series was in high demand by the listeners. More so, the thought-provoking podcast that shed light on various sensitive matters quickly emerged as one of the most listened to podcasts in the past year. This became evident as it bagged its first prestigious ‘Best Pop Podcast of the Year’ title from the People’s Choice Awards. 

Following the same, Gracie Awards also took a moment to honor the Duchess of Sussex, as the best podcast host of the year. In the month of May, Archetypes as an audio project bagged yet another award as the Digital Media National Award by the Gracies once again. In light of the same, while numerous listeners could not help but sing praises of the Duchess, others rejoiced in the Sussex setback. Whereas a chunk of others across the pool did not even know that something called the Archetypes podcast existed in the first place.
