Meghan Markle Uses a ‘Real Housewife’ to Spread the Word About American Riviera Orchard’s Jams
Meghan Markle is going full steam ahead with promoting American Riviera Orchard. And what better way to spread the news than cashing in some favors from her celebrity circle? The Duchess has just unveiled the first product from her new venture and shipped out 50 jars of artisanal jam made from locally sourced fruit near her Montecito abode to her inner circle. And now, before making them available for purchase, the Duchess has brought in one of the ‘Realest Housewives’ to help promote her brand.
The 42-year-old has already locked in her first ‘Real Housewife’ to help push American Riviera Orchard and its delicious spreads.

The lucky ones who have already got their hands on the jams include Kris Jenner, Mindy Kaling, polo champion Nacho Figueras, and many others. They have all been flaunting their fruity treasures on social media and showering Meghan Markle with gratitude for the sweet gesture. And the newest member to join the jam squad is Real Housewives, sensation Garcelle Beauvais. She recently shared a photo of a jar of strawberry jam on her Instagram, captioning it, "Sweetness 🍋@americanrivieraorchard 🙏🏽".
The see-through jar came encased in cream-colored wrapping that had the golden emblem of American Riviera Orchard, seemingly scripted in Markle's own hand. The duchess even took the time to jot down the specific number of each jar on the packaging to maintain its exclusivity. Delivered in a charming ceramic bowl with lemons and white blooms, the presentation of the gift was nothing short of exquisite. However, while the marketing ploy seems to be paying off for the Duchess, not everyone is sold on its brilliance.
A PR expert raised doubts about the authenticity of Meghan Markle's brand's product and threw shade at the marketing tactics the Duchess is employing.

PR expert Mark Borkowski, in conversation with the Times, described Meghan Markle's marketing tactics for American Riviera Orchard as either sheer "hubris" or simply "weird". He stated, "There's no story there, nothing on the back, just a label". It is also alleged that the former actress might have taken a cue for her jam venture from King Charles, who started selling jam from the Duchy of Cornwall estate way back in the 1990s.
Interestingly, right in the middle of Markle's jam extravaganza, the palace rolled out an 18-second video showing four innovative ways to enjoy their strawberry preserve, which some speculated could be a subtle jab at the Californian royal. Nonetheless, given the massive promotion of the brand, the first product from American Riviera Orchard could truly shake up the jam market.
