According to Vanity Fair, Meghan Markle recently visited Girls Inc. in Santa Barbara, California, to address bullying's impact on young girls. During an interactive session, Markle shared a poignant insight, which was further reiterated by the founder of #HalfTheStory, Larissa May. “Meghan talked about being one of the most bullied people in the world,” said May. The candid remark sparked meaningful conversations with the teenage attendees.

She further witnessed Meghan Markle’s engagement with the girls. May recounted to the outlet that the Duchess facilitated discussions on various scenarios, fostering empathy and understanding. As shared by the founder, Markle's willingness to reveal her experiences created a safe space for the girls to open up about their struggles, underscoring the importance of support and solidarity.

On the occasion of International Day of the Girl on October 11, Archewell Foundation, Girls Inc., Pivotal Ventures, and Oprah Winfrey's Charitable Foundation joined hands to launch Social Media U. Known as an anti-bullying program, it aims to empower girls to navigate social media safely. The initiative is to provide essential tools for girls to thrive in the digital age, fostering healthier relationships with technology.

Middle-school girls tested Social Media U's initiative with Meghan Markle's guidance, while the authorities present were all praises for the Duchess as she helped young girls develop critical skills. The program's educational focus will equip girls to combat online bullying, promoting digital literacy and confidence. By joining forces, these organizations can further aim to create a safer online environment for young girls.
