Meghan Markle’s Podcast Conversations Hits Every Airwave With Streaming Accessibility
Besides being an active figure of charity and sustainability, Meghan Markle is also a magnate for commercial acumen. Markle’s adaptability from screen portrayals to being a royal has undergone several developments and eventually, she has become a figure of absolute power show. Amidst these developments, back in 2020, Markle and Prince Harry signed a multi-year business deal with Spotify via Dawn Ostroff to launch a podcast.
Over three years later, the podcast has now hit every streaming platform following a recent redistribution deal in February.

On August 23, 2022, Archetypes, a podcast produced by Archewell Audio Productions and hosted by the Duchess, debuted on Spotify. After their deal with Dawn Ostroff, Archetypes ran for 1 season with 12 episodes. Despite producing a successful season, in June 2023, both Spotify and Archewell released their joint statement on having parted ways mutually. However, talks of redistribution of the first season had been in the works, and now the podcast is available for streaming across all platforms, including Apple Podcast.
This announcement came in shortly after February this year it was declared that Lemonada Media would take the saddle of redistributing the first season on all audio platforms. The podcast features the royal in conversation with athletes, artists, and experts. The first season included star athletes like Serena Williams, pop sensation Mariah Carey, big-impact socialites like Paris Hilton, and many such eminent personalities with its stated aim to “investigate, dissect, and subvert labels that try to hold women back.”
Following the redistribution, the possibility is that the podcast will garner more traffic with its mass streaming availability. However, back in 2023, the Sussexes faced big troubles back-to-back.

In 2023, after closing out on the Spotify deal, Spotify executive Bill Simmons labeled them as “grifters” on his podcast. Soon after, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s proposition to strike back with a patent of Archetypes came to bite in the back as the plea was rejected. There were rumors about the Duke and the Duchess choosing a way out of this Spotify debacle by picking a rival platform for their podcast- Audible.
A source in The Daily Express reportedly let out that “Harry and Meghan are retooling” to make the revenge sweeter. Later on, however, Audible, the Amazon-based audio platform denied any such developments with the royals. Although at the time neither Spotify nor Audible backed up the podcast, now the rest is history as not only is the podcast available for streaming on both platforms but even beyond.
