Meghan Markle Marks the Clock for the Launch of Her Lifestyle Brand, American Riviera Orchard
Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard is the doorway through which the Duchess can reinvent herself as a lifestyle influencer again. The former actress, through this brand, has also found her way back to social media after years away. Before she became a royal, Markle was popular for her expertise in fashion, interiors, restaurants, travel, and more, all of which she shared in her then-lifestyle blog, The Tig. Now, as she re-enters the lifestyle scene, everyone is wondering if this will again crown her as the lifestyle guru or is just another business flop.
This can only be revealed when the brand officially launches. And as per some reports, it has finally got a potential release window.

The Sussexes have faced a string of business misfires in 2023, and their luck has not turned this year either. However, earlier this year, it finally seemed that Meghan Markle had found her golden ticket with the launch of the American Riviera Orchard. Yet, even this venture was soon plagued by trademark setbacks and tangled in bureaucratic red tape, which delayed its launch. Nevertheless, according to a PEOPLE source, the lifestyle brand is still set to be launched later this year, for which Markle has “been busy working behind the scenes to prepare”.
The source also cleared the air regarding Markle’s supposed difficulty in finding a CEO for her brand. Recently, an insider told Closer that nearly 20 staff members working on American Riviera Orchard had walked away, attributing their departure to the Sussexes’ "very demanding and difficult" work environment. It was also claimed that the brand's launch was delayed due to Markle’s inability to secure a CEO; however, the insider from PEOPLE confirmed these reports are untrue. Even so, American Riviera Orchard’s success still hangs by a thread.

Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard has a reported offering list that includes textiles, edible products, gardening supplies, tableware, cosmetics, and pet supplies. While the products are not confirmed, one item- their jam- became quite the sensation after Markle’s celebrity friends endorsed it. There were also whispers about the brand making dog biscuits. But since then, the noise around the American Riviera Orchard has reached a dead silence. Tom Quinn believes the Duchess struggles to understand why her work is not resonating with people.
Quinn pointed out that the new jam was met with ridicule for being too overpriced for a jam. But instead of addressing the feedback, Markle allegedly felt she was being “unfairly criticized.” Quinn added, “From her point of view this is something to be admired not criticized”. Although the hype surrounding the venture has quieted down since its announcement, hope would still be alive until the brand's launch.
