Following her links to the vacant Senate seat after the passing of Dianne Feinstein, experts were quick to react to her rumored plans.

According to reports from Sky News Australia, a royal biographer, Angela Levin, claimed that Meghan Markle was not cut out to be a politician. In her interview, she suggested that the Duchess might be a little too sensitive, as she claimed she has “very thin skin” to take on such a role. While the interview started off well, it quickly took another turn. As the author went on, she also revealed why she believes it would be unlikely for the former royal to become a politician as it required her to give up her royal titles along with Prince Harry. She also said that Markle was “clinging on to them for dear life.”

During the interview, Levin went on to say that she did not think there was “a chance in hell” that Meghan Markle could get into parliament. While it may be sudden, Levin’s reaction comes after years of rumors about the Duchess making her way into politics. Even though the star has clearly made connections over the years, it may have been in vain, as she was overlooked for the vacant seat.

While it may be a long shot, Meghan Markle was already interviewed by Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, for a spot in the Senate back in 2020. Though it may have happened as Kamala Harris had given up her spot to run with Biden against Donald Trump, it does not change the fact that the former actress still has a shot at becoming a senator. So far, nothing has been confirmed, but if Markle was to have her way, fans can soon expect to see the star live her dream of breaking into US politics.
