Meghan Markle Got No Chill? Post Spotify Fallout the Duchess Issues Blunt Reply Searching New Home for Her Products
Meghan Markle once said “Everything is temporary” and so was her multi-million dollar deal with the Sweden giant, Spotify. The Sussex Foundation, Archewell, announced that the contract, which was approximately estimated to be $20 million, has been terminated. Following an economic earthquake that led to mass layoff from the company, Spotify cited reasons for “lack of content” as they call off the partnership. Nonetheless, this is nothing but just a temporary setback for Markle, as was conveyed by her latest response. No sooner did the parties separate than an Archewell spokesperson reflected on their journey so far, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. “The team behind Archetypes remains proud of the podcast they created at Spotify,” remarked the official.

Having garnered much fame and glory, the spokesperson for the Duchess even revealed that she has not given up on her ideas yet. “Meghan is continuing to develop more content for Archetypes audience on another platform,” stated the outlet. Although the aftermath of the deal cancellation seems to be stressful for the couple, their search is on for a new home to host their upcoming projects.
Things have seemingly spiraled up after Spotify bosses thrashed the couple with humiliating remarks.

The insinuating remarks came up just a day after the deal was canceled. In his podcast, the ringer founder and head of podcast innovation, Simmons lambasted the Duke and the Duchess, labeling them as “f****** grifters”. In addition to the fallout, such gestures from the Spotify executive have further served the ties with the audio company.

Prince Harry and Meghan first signed the deal with Spotify way back in 2020. The Archetypes with Meghan eventually emerged as the best podcast of the year. Moreover, it also fetched the Duchess the best podcast host, as entitled by the Gracies. Owing to the huge success of the revolutionary and thought-provoking podcast, there was a high demand for the Archetypes to renew another series. However, unfortunately, it did not see any daylight.
