Is it just Prince Archie’s birthday clashing with the King’s coronation or is there any underlying reason behind the same? After having multiple speculations hounding the subject, Telegraph has finally narrowed down with the actual reason everyone had been looking for. The publication exclusively wrote in its latest issue that it has some unsettled past scores to deal with. The root cause behind withdrawing from the coronation dated years back to the time the Palace was dealing with one of its most trenchant controversies of all times, one that involved racist claims against the monarchy, reported Telegraph.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, took to the infamous CBS special with Oprah Winfrey to disclose racist remarks about an anonymous member of the royal family. However, that was not all with the racist claims. Following the Queen’s statement about varied recollections, Markle has also taken up this case with the present monarch, King Charles. The Duchess followed up with the monarch through several letters, which clearly marked the identity of the unnamed racist royal.
Thus, both the present monarch and the Duchess are well aware of who the member is. Regardless, what caused the unsettled tensions between the two were King Charles’ reply to those letters.

Sources have revealed to the outlet that despite her “raising concerns about unconscious bias,” she did not receive a satisfactory answer from the King’s end. The exchange of words between the two royals has been reportedly “warm and light-hearted“. Nonetheless, it made it clear that Meghan Markle did not accuse any royal member of being a racist. It was the unconscious bias that she was talking about working on in the family.

This also coincides with Prince Harry clearing the air about him and his wife accusing the royal of racists. As reported, Markle had never uttered the term racist against any royals in the family. Duke of Sussex reiterated the same, having said that it was the media doing that. In fact, post the Netflix docuseries’ release, the Sussexes were even holding out for a proper apology. Nonetheless, nothing of that sort ever happened.
What is your take on the same?
