Meghan Markle's Culinary Skills Get a Shoutout From Kamala Harris in a Collection of Her Favorite Cookbooks
Once again, the tables have turned and the commentators have gone silent. While critics thought Meghan Markle was trying to win over Kamala Harris, in order to climb up her social ladder, it seems the Duchess has already won her heart. Rather not the Duchess but the Vice President herself, who is following Markle's direction in a shared passion. It is not politics or royal protocol, but an interest, quite personal to both, that has brought them together.
In a recent snap, the American Vice President counted on Meghan Markle's culinary skills, proving that food is the universal love language.

British food journalist Diana Henry shared an Instagram photo of a stack of cookbooks found in Vice President Kamala Harris' kitchen. The diverse collection featured books on food and cooking from various authors. Notably, it included, Together, a book forwarded by Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, for the Hubb Community Kitchen, a project she was involved with during her time in the UK.
The cover page features a portrait of the Duchess engaged in cooking with the community, following which, it has a three-page heartfelt foreword by the Sussex royal. The same was also highlighted by Meghan Markle's counterparts at Kensington. Commenting on the collection, Henry wrote how there is no doubt that Kamala Harris takes cooking seriously, but the book suggests she is "much more than a cook with dependable recipes."
Speaking of cooking, Kamala Harris is not the only American heavyweight who is deep into it. With Meghan Markle, it makes two of them.

Meghan Markle launched her first solo royal project, a charity cookbook called Together: Our Community Cookbook, to support the Hubb Community Kitchen, which helped those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. "Together is more than a cookbook. This is a tale of friendship, and a story of togetherness," she wrote. The kitchen, located in West London, was only able to open two days a week due to funding, inspiring Markle to create the cookbook.
In it, Meghan Markle recalled the Grenfell fire while working in Canada and wanting to help. She visited the kitchen while adjusting to life in London with Prince Harry. The cookbook features recipes that allow people to connect. Markle also shared her favorite childhood meals, highlighting the power of cooking. Not just books, her love for cooking also reflects in the fancy kitchen they own, which is the real treasure in their Montecito abode.
