The Duchess loved navigating through sensitive waters and, in due course; she made some stirring remarks about the same in her award-winning podcast. In one of the episodes featuring Paris Hilton, Markle discussed the stigma of men dominating women, which was evident in her previous workspace as well. According to her, the sets of the US TV reality show, Deal or No Deal, treated her like a “bimbo”. The single statement was enough to create a wildfire of controversies throwing shade at the Duchess.

However, as of now, an old friend is insistent on sharing a few words. The showrunner Banijay has got its chief content officer Lucas Green to speak to Variety. The officer has given a clear picture of how the show has never promoted anything near objectifying women. He totally disagreed with Meghan Markle’s comment on the show that came up in her Archetypes podcast. The exclusive article made clear that Banijay’s creative strategies never led anywhere near what was claimed.

Meghan Markle had talked of her struggles on the Deal or No Deal sets
Along with guests like Paris Hilton, Meghan Markle, on the eighth episode of Archetypes, opened up about her time as a “briefcase girl,” back in 2006. Back then, she was trying to earn a living, which compelled her to encounter harsh realities backstage. Talking about the strict rules that the performers should appear outwardly on stage, Meghan started off by stating how they were handed Spray-tan vouchers each week. “There was a very cookie-cutter idea of what precisely we should look like,” Markle confessed.

According to her, women were forced to bring perfection to achieve everything they could. That is exactly where she felt there exists a vicious cycle of choosing beauty over brains in ways unknown and unexpected.
